Hi, I'm Fred Waugh President of Pequot Travel.
At the end of the day, the team effort involved in the "Spring Gala" for Near & Far Aid is so amazing it is no surprise that the results are consistently excellent. Everyone is focused, we all enjoy the process and the workload & a significant amount of money is raised to go to critical needs charities - over 100 of them.
That's what it's all about. This will be my 17th year working on the "Spring Gala" doing all I can in the area of Travel donations and it never grows old.
Over the past 10 years we have granted $10 million to over 120 charities in critical need. Travel donors are proud to have represented $1.5 million over this time in an effort to handle the increase in need. We hope that you will be joining us March 2, 2012, it's truly an event you will enjoy for a great cause.
The smallest donation goes so far - every dollar is significant. Please join this event with a great cause - March 2, 2012.

Near & Far Aid Spring Gala at Mitchells 2011 was a huge success!
"The agencies we fund make all the difference."
They provide food & shelter for the homeless & job education and training for the working poor. They run literacy and educational programs for disadvantaged children and their families. They care for the elderly and for the victims of abuse, and provide access to quality health care for those who would otherwise be denied.
Some of these agencies are well established non-profits, while others are small but highly effective grass roots organizations. Large or small, they share a partnership with Near & Far Aid to effect lasting change on the lives of many.

Pequot Travel has been chosen as the Travel Agency to help raise funds at their annual event in September to keep this local icon as a premier playhouse.
